Sculpture

In 1963-1965, I was apprenticed to two master sculptors in Paris, France, whose lineage comes directly from Bourdelle and Rodin. Those years prepared me for a career as a sculptor. I returned to Southern California, where I grew up, and began my professional life exhibiting internationally in many one-man-shows, winning prizes, and selling figurative sculptures. Examples of these sculptures may be viewed in the Wood, Bronze, and Stone gallery.
In the early 1970’s, I changed media and expression. These sculptures were in combinations of lucite, white Carrara marble, and chrome-plated steel cylinders arranged in abstract formations using hard-edged multiple units and could weigh as much as one ton. I continued to have a successful career professionally receiving commissions for private and public site-specific work. Examples of this work may be viewed in the Lucite, Marble, and Steel gallery.
